In 2004 we established a partnership with Donusen Adam based in Turkey and over the last four years, the partnership with Donusen Adam has grown significantly, to the extent that Donusen Adam has recently opened an office in the capital city of Baku, to service demand for health, safety & environmental training courses in Azerbaijan .

Many of the companies directly or indirectly involved in The Baku-Tblisi-Ceyhan Pipeline (featured right) have looked to the Connaught- Donusen Adam partnership to provide health, safety and environmental training. In the last twelve months almost fifty per cent of the Fortune 100 companies in Turkey have been clients of the company.

Onur Yalti, consultant with Donusen Adam commented on the success of the partnership,

"We have consultants with backgrounds in high profile firms such as BP and DuPont as well as medical doctors, occupational hygienists and engineers from different disciplines. Almost all of the consultants are multilingual thanks to their multinational corporate experience. The training consultants from Connaught in the UK are the best in their field and results reflect this.

"This year, Connaught Compliance Training Services and the Donusen Adam partnership put together the first internationally accredited IEMA (Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment) syllabus in Turkey and the results were phenomenal. Every delegate passed with either a credit or distinction."

Connaught Compliance Training Services Key Accounts Manager Steve Loynton has worked with the team at Donusen Adam for over four years, and he added:

"Not surprisingly, given the geographical location, many of our clients come from the petro-chemical industries and we have worked closely with companies such as Shell and BP, General Electric (GE), Nestle, Siemens, Motorola, HP, Vodafone and the Turkish Construction giant, Enka, where we have helped their teams attain high pass rates for both NEBOSH and IEMA qualifications. Being in tune with the needs of international companies in Turkey and Azerbaijan , w e are able to present courses in Russian and Arabic, although realistically, many of the mangers who undertake the courses are fluent English speakers.

"We present the courses to a set international syllabus, but our consultants are mindful of local laws and traditions and take this into account when presenting the courses. Very often, this opens the debates, making presentations very interesting for the consultant, as they learn about the different challenges affecting people around the world.

"As part of our international programme, we have established partnerships with training companies in Russia , New Zealand , Kazakhstan , Nigeria , Libya and South Africa , where we can provide training services to many other countries from those bases. "
