Gap Analysis is the initial step in the review of your existing management system. It is an efficient foundation to implement a modern management system. It can be measured against ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18001.

What does a Gap Analysis do?

It reveals the areas of improvement in your existing management system
It investigates your existing management system against the principal requirements of ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18001
It focuses on the components of the management system and how effective they are

What do we do?

A site visit to interview senior staff and other members of the workforce if necessary, observe working conditions and practices to understand your organisation and associated potential risks
Examine your existing management system i.e. policy, objectives, targets and programmes, performance measurement, emergency procedures, auditing programmes, assessment of risk and risk control, operational control, training and competency
Compare the Management System components to ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18001 requirements and identify the gaps
Examine existing arrangements: organisation, policies, procedures
Examine records, assessments and other key documentation
Discuss findings and agree possible actions
