Who the Course is For
This course is designed for persons who have to train and/or assess those who are involved in manual handling in the workplace.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course delegates will:
- Understand how manual handling injuries occur.
- Understand civil and criminal liabilities in relation to manual handling.
- Carry out risk assessments of manual handling operations (as required by the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992), and make appropriate recommendations to eliminate or reduce the risks identified.
- Recognise poor handling techniques in others and make appropriate recommendations/corrections.
- Demonstrate good posture and safe handling techniques during typical manual handling tasks.
- Instruct others in good posture and safe handling techniques.
- Take away a tailored PPT presentation on CDRom as a professional aid to deliver Safe Handling Techniques
Course Overview
Prior to the inital course the appointed Consultant will visit your organisation on development day(s) to gain an understanding of the specific manual handling needs. They will then tailors the training, materials and delivery style.
Each delegate is provided with a tailored PPT presentation on CD Rom as a professional aid to deliver Safe Handling Techniques training to staff.
Certification
On successful completion of the course the delegate will receive Connaught accreditation as Kinetic Handling Trainers |
